Morgan DEAL-ighted to extend career with Villa

VILLA ace Morgan Rogers could barely hide his joy after agreeing a new deal with Aston Villa that will keep him with the Claret and Blue until 2031.

Reports had linked the England star with a move to Chelsea, but Villa have moved decisively to secure the long-term services of their prize asset by giving him an improved contract - his third in less than two years.

Speaking to the club's website after the contract was announced, Rogers said: “I’m so happy. The faith from the people at the club is a really nice feeling, and I couldn't wait to sign. I’m really happy.

“It’s home. Being from the area makes it that bit sweeter, but the manager, the players, the staff, every one here is so warm and welcoming every day. I’m excited to come in and train, work hard and give my all every day. I really enjoy it.

“The most important thing for me is enjoying my football and being able to express myself. There’s no reason why I wouldn’t want to stay here.”
