MAYOR SAYS CASH WILL PUT MIDLANDS CENTRE STAGE IN ARTS GROWTH
CREATIVE businesses in the West Midlands are set for a “new chapter of growth” after the Government pledged millions to the sector.
The West Midlands Combined Authority is one of six UK regions to have been awarded £25 million as part of the Government's Creative Places Growth Fund.
The support is aimed at helping businesses and freelancers innovate, up-skill and attract private investment.
The region is already home to over 15,000 creative enterprises, including Digbeth Loc Studios and BBC Studio-Works, while Birmingham, the biggest city in the region, has World Craft City status.
