KFC gives £42k to charities

KFC Youth Foundation has awarded £42,000 in grants to seven charities and community groups in Birmingham providing support and opportunities to young people in the local community.

It comes as the chicken takeaway company celebrates 60 years in the UK and Ireland.

Local Birmingham-based community groups receiving grants include Open House Community, the Gap Arts Project and Pitch 2 Progress.

Pitch 2 Progress uses sport as a tool to engage young people and adults from inner-city Birmingham.
