Jailed for life for brutal murder of father-of-three in queue at bank

A MAN has been sentenced to life behind bars for the brutal murder of a West Bromwich businessman.

Gurvinder Singh Johal, 37, was stabbed to death in front of horrified customers inside a bank branch in Derby.

Father-of-three Mr Johal was standing in a queue when he was attacked by Haybe Cabdiraxmaan Nur on the afternoon of May 6, this year.

Customers and staff inside the branch witnessed the horrific killing and Mr Johal, known as Danny, was declared dead at the scene.

Nur, 47, of Western Road, Normanton, was arrested later the same day at his address.
