'I weren't doing nothing' said M40 U-turn driver

A VAN driver who insisted "I weren't doing nothing" after a dangerous M40 police chase has been jailed for almost six years.
Stuart Jones told officers, "I wasn't the driver" just moments after they smashed their way into his van.
Jones, 48, was tailed by officers after ramming a police vehicle and making a dangerous U-turn on the wrong side of the motorway.
Jones, of Himley Road, Dudley, admitted dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and assaulting police. He was jailed for 71 weeks at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
Police "received intelligence" about a van driver behaving suspiciously in Stratford at about 11.35pm on Saturday, June 14.
