Hunt for driver as crash cabbie fights for his life

POLICE have issued an urgent appeal to a Birmingham motorist as a taxi driver injured in a 3am crash lies fighting for his life in hospital.
The driver of a Volkswagen Golf was urged to ‘come forward’ as they may have witnessed a two-car crash in the early hours of Saturday morning, August 2, involving a Peugeot taxi and another Volkswagen Golf.
Busy Icknield Street, near to the junction of Hingeston Street, was cordoned off for several hours after the major incident.
