A MAJOR firearms alert was sparked in a city centre by a boy with a toy gun.

Officers from Staffordshire Police's firearms unit swooped in Lichfield on Sunday morning.
Police were alerted to a ‘man with a double-barrelled shotgun’ in Bore Street in the city centre at 8.40am.
