UNAI Emery hopes to have Villa defenders Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings back from injury within the next fortnight, but Amadou Onana could face a longer spell on the sidelines.
Left-sided centre-backs Torres and Mings have been nursing injuries, with Victor Lindelof stepping in during their absence.
Mings has been unavailable since Villa's trip to Liverpool at the start of November, where he suffered a hamstring injury.
