COUNTERFEIT TOYS FOUND IN RAID

A SOLIHULL convenience shop accused of selling an illegal vape to a child and fake Labubu dolls could be forced to close.

Paul's Convenience Store, in Rathlin Croft, will have its licence reviewed by Solihull councillors at a special meeting today.

Councillors have a range of options available to them ranging from taking no action up to the harshest penalty of revoking the Smith’s Wood shop's licence.

Ahead of the Licensing Act Panel meeting Solihull Council officers prepared a report which states Richard Staveley, the authority's Trading Standards and environment manager, applied to review the licence in November.

"The application was made on the grounds of the protection of children from harm and the prevention of crime and disorder," the report states.
