Council's carbon-cutting ‘false accounting'

A MIDLAND council's latest carbon-cutting statistics came with a word of caution on 'false accounting' about how improvements were achieved.

Dudley Council's cabinet was told carbon emissions were down by 17 per cent over the 2024/25 period.

The council was responsible for pumping out 10,978 tonnes of carbon dioxide in the 12-month period which was down from 13,209 in 2023/24.
