COUNCILLORS' WORRIES REVEALED
COUNCILLORS have spoken of their fears as the dire financial situation and the battle to avoid effective bankruptcy at Solihull Council continues.
Reassurances have been offered by the Conservative leader and a senior officer that all actions are being taken to improve the authority's finances.
The authority's director of resources Andrew Felton said the forecast to the end of this financial year - was showing a debt of £2.7 million.
Solihull Council faced similar woes last year and some of the actions taken then are still in place.
