IT’S hard to imagine a world before The Beatles but Sir Paul McCartney offers a glimpse of what life was like before he was Fab on his new LP.

- JAMES CABOOTER

The Boys Of Dungeon Lane digs deep into the legend’s memory banks, to a childhood in Liverpool growing up alongside some lads with big dreams called John, Ringo and George.

It was a simpler time, when you could hitch a ride without taking your life into your own hands.

“I suggested to George (Harrison) we should hitchhike. We were very young... before The Beatles” he recalls commentating on new tune Down South.

“I would warn my kids and grandkids, ‘don’t do it; cause there’s too many nutters out there now. There didn’t seem to be as many then, probably were”

The lyrics are like a time capsule, and the song may even get a follow-up one day: “There should be like another 50 verses, but it was great, it was really bonding”
