Blues are trying to clear up Gray area!

THE future of Demarai Gray will now be decided after Jamaica exited the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Blues have expressed an interest in re-signing Gray from Saudi club Al-Ettifaq and clarity on the 28-year-old’s future should arrive now that he is no longer on international duty.

Jamaica were dumped out of the Gold Cup in the group stages after a 4-1 defeat to Panama in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Gray is keen to return to Europe after two years in Saudi Arabia and Blues, whose manager Chris Davies coached the winger at Leicester, are in the running for his signature.

Sources in Saudi claim Al-Ettifaq have agreed to sell Gray to Blues but the Birmingham Mail has been told the deal isn’t yet that advanced. With 200 Premier League appearances to his name, Gray is commanding interest from the top flight and other clubs around Europe - some of whom will be playing in European competitions next season.
