Bath Rugby crushed Leicester Tigers into dust at the Recreation Ground on Saturday evening by the time the final whistle blew, winning 43-15 against their most serious title contenders, while giving the side the perfect platform to propel them into tomorrow's EPCR Challenge Cup final (Friday).

Leaders Bath claimed their 14th league win of the campaign in what could prove a dress rehearsal for the Premiership final in mid-June with Leicester still look likely to finish second in the log if they can secure a win at home against bottom of the table Newcastle Falcons.

Once again it was the difference in the supreme quality of Bath’s bench which proved to be the real difference between the two sides, with the likes of Max Ojomoh, Guy Pepper and Will Stuart coming on to punish the already tenderised Tigers, with the 28-point winning margin the Blue, Black and White's biggest win against their historic rivals in a decade.
