TikTok Election Center aims to combat misinformation

TikTok, the global short-form video platform, has launched its 2026 Thailand Election Center to protect platform integrity, elevate authoritative information and combat harmful misinformation.

The centre is collaborating with the Election Commission (EC), Collaborative Fact Checking (Cofact) Thailand and Thai PBS to provide the community with reliable, verified information so they can make informed decisions in the general election slated for Feb 8.

Chanida Klyphun, director of public policy for Southeast Asia at TikTok, said its Election Center can be accessed through in-app search prompts, providing users with links to authoritative sources.

The centre houses centralised information on voting procedures, polling locations and candidate lists sourced directly from the EC, which are all available using search functions.
