WHAT IS HILL 350?

Hill 350 is not the formal name of the geographical feature in question, but a tactical military designation. It refers to a hill in the Phanom Dong Rak mountain range, whose peak is located at 350 metres above sea level — distinguishing it from the surrounding terrain, which averages around 200-300 metres.

WHERE IS HILL 350 LOCATED?

Hill 350 lies close to the Prasat Ta Kwai ruins in Surin, roughly 300 metres west of the ancient Khmer sandstone complex. The area sits along the Thai-Cambodian border, where demarcation remains disputed. Under Thailand’s long-used 1:50,000 scale map, both the temple and Hill 350 fall within Thai territory.
