Thai soldier killed as clashes intensify

Another Thai soldier has been confirmed dead in fighting at Hill 677 in Ubon Ratchathani, raising the military death toll to ten amid escalating clashes with Cambodian forces.
The Internal Security Operations Command announced the loss yesterday via its official Facebook page, expressing sorrow on behalf of the Thai people and paying tribute to Sgt Phatchara Yaemtang-on, the tenth soldier to fall in defence of the nation.
Sgt Phatchara served with the 2nd Special Operations Battalion of the Ist Special Forces Regiment, known as the “Pa Wai Rangers’, based in Lop Buri.
