Skincare sales booming as Thais prioritise health

The outlook for Thai skincare products remains positive as consumers increasingly prioritise their skin health.
Benjakiti Maksane, chief executive of Sapphaisan Cosmet Co Ltd, a Thai importer and distributor of skincare products under the Sewa brand, said that despite economic challenges, Thailand's beauty and personal care industry continues to thrive.
Moreover, she said the market was highly competitive, with some brands opting for a price-cutting strategy. However, Sapphaisan Cosmet would not focus on that approach, she noted.
The company has rebranded itself, aiming to tap into the younger generation of consumers. The changes include new eco-friendly packaging and a new logo.
