Chonburi tore apart the form book as they brought Buriram United's perfect start to the Thai League 1 season to a dramatic end on Sunday night, inflicting a4-2 defeat on the defending champions at their home ground.

Despite the setback, the Thunder Castle remain top of the table with 25 points from 10 matches, but head coach Mark Jackson admitted his side were second best against the spirited Sharks.
The Englishman, who took charge of Buriram recently, described the defeat as “very disappointing” but praised Chonburi’s resilience.
“Our goal is to win every match we play. Tonight, I must congratulate Chonburi. They showed more fight and hunger for victory, even after being reduced to 10 men,’ Jackson said.
