Police hold 7 in murder case

Police have detained seven suspects in a Lop Buri kidnap-murder case and dismissed claims that a remaining fugitive has links to the Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc).
Metropolitan Police Division 2 commander Pol Maj Gen Keattikun Sonthinen said nine people were initially involved, including one unidentified mastermind and eight men for whom arrest warrants were issued on charges of unlawful detention and coercion.
The victim, identified as Rut Maneeprasert, whose charred remains were found in an abandoned house in Lop Buri's Chai Badan district, was allegedly kidnapped from Ratchadaphisek Soi 18 in Bangkok on Feb 18 by this group of suspects.
