Platform to streamline budgeting

The government is pushing ahead with reforms to public financial management through a new digital platform, while also exploring the responsible deployment of Al to improve efficiency and transparency across the bureaucracy, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said yesterday.

Speaking at the opening of the 19th Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) Asian Senior Budget Officials Meeting in Bangkok, Mr Anutin said the meeting’s themes — fiscal sustainability, digital transformation and strengthening state capacity — align closely with the country's push to modernise its fiscal framework.
