Highland Boxing hosted its monthly boxing event at the World Siam Stadium on Saturday.

- WASIM MATHER

This time, however, the promotion featured two very interesting main events as two Thais looked to fight for two WBC international titles on home soil. The co-main event was German Melina Maibuam, who at the time was looking to defend her title against Thailand's Phannaluk Kongsang. Maibuam was undefeated in 14 professional fights, having defeated Mexico’s Ana Arrazola for the vacant WBC International super bantamweight title.

On paper, Phannaluk boasted a record of 19 wins, 16 losses and 1 draw. Of all her losses, she has never been knocked out or stopped and has faced some formidable opponents, with most of her defeats coming on the road in other countries.
