NT scraps pact with TIDC

State telecom enterprise National Telecom (NT) has sent a letter to Thailand International Digital Business & Finance Centre (TIDC) to terminate a memorandum of understanding (MoU) they signed last year.

The MoU is linked with one signed between the Digital Economy and Society (DES) Ministry under the previous government and Prime Opportunity Fund VCC, a company registered in Singapore.

NT’s move follows a recent order by the DES Ministry under the new government for the MoU between the ministry and Prime Opportunity Fund VCC to be scrapped, citing several irregularities, particularly regarding the timeline of the MoU’s signing.
