Knockout targets history at WBC convention clash

The Venezuelan and Thai professional boxing storyline continues as Knockout CPF (Thammanoon Niyomtrong, 28-1, 11 KOs) looks to become a two-weight world champion when he takes on WBC 108lb champion Carlos Canizales (28-3-1, 20 KOs).
The fight will headline the 2025 WBC convention, running from Nov 30 to Dec 4 in Bangkok, with names such as Terence Crawford, Katie Taylor, Roberto Duran and Julio Cesar Chavez in attendance.
The storyline between the two fighters is an interesting one. In December 2024, Canizales challenged former WBC 108lb champion Panya Pradabsri for the same title in Bangkok, in what many called one of the most controversial decisions of the year.
