Duo testify after death of reporter

Two close friends of Channel 8 TV reporter Nattawut Ponglangka who joined him for dinner on the night before he was found dead have told police the gathering was calm and ordinary, with no signs that Nattawut intended to take his own life.
The two, identified as Ms O and Ms Or, spent nearly five hours giving detailed testimony at Bang Kruai police station in Nonthaburi yesterday.
Upon leaving, they said investigators mainly asked them to recount what happened during the meal. Both insisted the conversation revolved around work and future plans, and that Nattawut appeared to be in good spirits.
