Danish drama explores 'normal' love amidst a parent's transition

The 2025 Contemporary World Film Series will conclude this year with a screening of A Perfectly Normal Family, at TK Park's Auditorium on the 8th floor of CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Road, on Dec 13 at 4pm.

Directed by Malou Reymann, the Danish drama tells the story of a perfectly normal family — laughing, joking, playing football and recording home-videos.

And then suddenly 11-year-old Emma and her older sister Caroline are shell-shocked when they are told that their parents are getting divorced. The reason — the father is transitioning into becoming “a woman”.
