Cops take down online gambling networks worth over B3.5bn

>>Police have dismantled two large-scale online gambling networks, uncovering more than 3.5 billion baht linked to illicit financial activity.
The first operation, targeting the Fun888 gambling network, resulted in the arrest of 31 suspects, including 10 foreigners, Pol Lt Gen Trairong Phiwpaan, commissioner of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, said yesterday.
Investigators showed the network had generated an annual turnover of approximately 3.2 billion baht, he said. The network is suspected of using a complex web of financial transactions, funnelling money through companies posing as agricultural businesses.
