Energy Asia 2025 is set to gather over 4,000 global delegates in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to forge collaborative solutions addressing Asia’s unique energy transition challenges while balancing economic growth and climate action.

ASIA CONVENES TO DRIVE ENERGY TRANSITION FORWARD

Asia stands at the crossroads of economic expansion and environmental responsibility, the continent that contributes 60% of global economic growth faces a monumental challenge: transforming its energy landscape while ensuring prosperity for nearly two thirds of the world’s population. The upcoming Energy Asia 2025 conference, scheduled for June 16-18 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, aims to address this challenge head-on with its theme “Delivering Asia’s Energy Transition”.

Energy Asia, a thought leadership executive conference by PETRONAS, in collaboration with its Knowledge Partner – CERAWeek by S&P Global, arrives at a critical moment. Asia currently accounts for half of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, with 85% of it originating from coming fossil fuels. Projections indicate the region’s energy demand will double by 2030, creating an urgent need for sustainable solutions that tandems economic development.

Energy Asia accelerates accelerated action to drive impactful change across the energy landscape,” explains Datin Arni Laily Anwarrudin, Senior General Manager, Energy Asia and Strategy, Planning and Governance, Group Strategic Relations and Communications, PETRONAS. “As a major energy market and driver of global growth, Asia has the potential to decarbonise its economy. However, oil and gas players will not be successful in driving the transition alone”.
