A charity is raising a glass to its newest collaboration.

- STUART WILSON

The Ayrshire Hospice has teamed up with Millport-based gin and whisky makers, Isle of Cumbrae Distillers, to create a special tipple.

Over the past nine months, the Hospice and distillers have been working together to produce a drink that gin fanatics will love, and believe they have created just the drop with the Gargowan No. 35 Gin.

Ayrshire Hospice Chief Executive, Tracy Flynn, said: "We are thrilled to be working with Struan and Caroline from the Isle of Cumbrae Distillers to craft our own gin to sell.

"Both Struan and Caroline have their own personal experiences of palliative and end-of-life care and know first-hand just how important the services we provide are for the community of Ayrshire and Arran.
