Jamie Murphy is looking forward to his 21st season as a player... and will relish a new dual role as a coach.
The 35-year-old has no thoughts of hanging up his boots just yet and is ready to help Ayr on twin fronts next season.
Murphy, who was capped twice for Scotland against Costa Rica and Peru, was United's third top scorer last season with six goals in 33 appearances behind George Oakley (16) and Jay Henderson (14).
And he reckons he still has enough fire in his boots to play a key role on the park.
