Rushmoor council cabinet celebrates recent successes

THE opening of Farnborough’s new town square, The Landing; a successful summer of events; and a crackdown on fly-tipping were among the highlights of recent projects, councillors from Rushmoor Borough Council heard at their cabinet meeting on Tuesday last week (November 25).

Members were told that good progress has been made in most key projects and activities outlined in its Delivery Plan for the period between July and September, with 17 of the 23 “strands” of work on track for completion.

The Delivery Plan is structured with 23 priorities across the five themes:

Skills, economy and regeneration.

Homes for all: quality living, affordable housing.

Community and wellbeing: active lives, healthier and stronger Communities.

Pride in place: clean, safe and vibrant neighbourhoods.

The future and financial sustainability.
