State govt orders transfer, promotion of 35 IPS officers

The Gujarat government on Sunday promoted and transferred 35 IPS officers amid the code of conduct.

Among these, 26 IPS officers were promoted, while nine were transferred. Key appointments included filling vacant posts such as Surat CP, Surat Range, SP Ahmedabad Rural, SP Anand, and SP Mehsana. However, critical positions like DCP, Crime Ahmedabad, Traffic and Crime Surat, and DCP zone-1 and sector-1 posts of Ahmedabad remain unfilled.

JCP Sharad Singhal, DCP Chaitanya Mandlik, and DCP Lavina Sinha are among those awaiting assignments.
