DCB Arrests Five in Rs 8-Crore Scam by Tele Fraudsters

The accused allegedly rented their bank accounts to the fraudsters who duped an 88-year-old doctor in Ambawadi using a fake order in the name of Chief Justice of India

The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) has registered an FIR and arrested five people in the case where an 88-year-old doctor in Ambawadi area was duped of Rs 8 crore by cyber fraudsters. The arrested individuals allegedly rented their bank accounts to the gang.

The DCB has launched a further investigation into the case, in which the doctor was ensnared by fraudsters who threatened him with involvement in the Jet Airways case and showed him a fake order purportedly issued by the Chief Justice of India BR Gavai.
