Six pairs of houses proposed for site

An outline application for new homes and one commercial building in Great Harwood has been submitted.

The development would be on land to the north of Heys Lane.

The proposal has come from Allied Properties (Manchester) Ltd. It will now be considered by Hyndburn Council planners.

A supporting statement says: “It is proposed to build six pairs of semi-detached houses (12 units), three detached houses, and a detached garage. There will be associated gardens, driveways and a car park at the North-East.

“The site is an irregular shaped plot and comprises a wagon yard mostly unsurfaced. At the north-west are portable buildings for offices, a large covered area possibly used for vehicle maintenance and two shipping containers.
