PUBLIC consultation on A: review of Lancashire (County Council's care homes and day centres for older people which could see a care home in Hyndburn closed has been launched.

Woodlands in Clayton-le-Moors has been named as facing potential “accelerated reprovision” which many people fear means it will close.

Hyndburn Council’s deputy Labour leader Kimberley Whitehead has created a petition supporting Woodlands.

‘The eight-week consultation which ends on December 12 follows the Reform-led authority revealing it is undertaking a strategic audit of services for older people and adults with disabilities earlier this month.
