CHESTERFIELD maintained their charge at the top of the National League with this convincing win over Boreham Wood at Meadow Park.
A goal in each half from Liam Mandeville and Joe Quigley was enough to secure the points for the Spireites in a rather one-sided affair with keeps them three points clear at the top of the table.
Assistant manager Danny Webb said: “I’m delighted with the three points. Apart from 10 minutes in the first half we were dominant.
“We dealt with their threats well and were up for the battle, all over the pitch.”
Mandeville almost put the Spireites in front earlier when he was played through on goal, only to be denied by a last-ditch challenge from Wood defender Femi Ilesamni.
