Navarro cameo sees Radcliffe edge closer
LUCA Navarro’s 14-minute hattrick, having come on as a second-half substitute, saw Radcliffe edge ever closer to securing the league title with an emphatic win over Matlock Town.
Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson’s men hit four past a struggling Matlock, in-front of 1,700 to maintain their ninepoint margin atop the table with three games left.
It wasn’t always a comfortable watch here though, having held onto a slender lead with half-an-hour to play and ex-Matlock loanee winger Jude Oyibo’s thunderous close-range finish separating the two sides.
Good work from Jake Thompson created it, feeding him the far post to drive home a first goal since late January.
