ASK any fan of any club, and they will say they love the FA Cup - and quite right, too. But there is something about this competition and Yeovil Town Football Club.
One hundred and eight years it took for the club to get to the promised land of the Football League and even to the dizzy heights of the Championship before falling back into the depths of Non-League.
However, before that, the history of the Glovers was mostly in relation to this great competition.
In 1949, they pulled off the near impossible and beat powerhouses Sunderland 2-1 and since then have been the most successful Non-League club against teams in the Football League.
In 2021, a 1-0 victory over Stevenage was the 21st victory of that calibre as a Non-League club.
But, following relegation to the National.
League South last season, promotion is the priority. That is clear.
