Transit From Wealth Creation To Preservation With MFS
February 11, 2025
|Outlook
Retirement marks a pivotal transition in financial planning-a shift from accumulating wealth to a psychological phase of preserving it.
This journey requires thoughtful adjustments to investment strategies, ensuring retirees can sustain their lifestyle while safeguarding their hardearned corpus.
Ideally, that journey should begin as soon as one starts earning. In this age of increasing lifespan, the objective should be to have enough money to outlast your life.
A McKinsey report says India will likely lose its age advantage in 33 years with working population dwindling and the number of retirees surging.
Contrasting with this another recent survey shows that less than half of the people in India think that retirement planning should begin before the age of 35. This reflects a serious lack of understanding of wealth creation.
