TELANGANA RISING 2047: SHAPING THE FUTURE OF INDIA
December 21, 2025
|Outlook
Telangana is India's youngest state; it has transformed into one of its most dynamic and forward-looking economic powerhouses.
-
From innovative governance and world-class infrastructure to unparalleled social development, the state has consistently established new national and global benchmarks. Telangana is now globally recognized as a preferred, investment-friendly destination with a deeply embedded people-first philosophy.
Today, Telangana stands at the dawn of a monumental new era. The launch of its landmark long-term framework, “Telangana Rising 2047”, is not just a plan—it is a bold, future-ready roadmap to elevate the state into a 1trillion economy by 2034 & $3 trillion economy contributing a formidable 10% to India's GDP by 2047. This vision is firmly rooted in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and driven by the unwavering principles of equity, inclusiveness, sustainability, and prosperity for all.
A VISION BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP: THE VOICE OF THE CITIZEN
Unlike conventional administrative blueprints, Telangana's development strategy is profoundly citizen-driven. The government initiated one of the largest public consultation exercises in India, engaging deeply with urban, semi-urban, and rural communities. The message from the people was unified and clear, underscoring a deep aspiration for a state that delivers:
- High-quality healthcare and better education
- Clean and pollution-free surroundings
- Safety and dignity in daily life
- Livelihood opportunities closer to home
- Modern skill development aligned with emerging industries, particularly in IT, Al, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship
More than 65% of the responses came from the youth, signalling a powerful demand for meaningful employment, continuous learning, and sustainable livelihoods. These collective insights have meticulously shaped the foundation of the Telangana Rising 2047 vision, ensuring its goals are directly responsive to the needs of its people.
