Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Indian fashion designer
Sabyasachi Mukherjee is the first Indian fashion designer who walked down the iconic red carpet of the Met Gala 2024, owning the space often referred to as the ‘Mecca of fashion.’ As he made his grand entry at the star-studded event in New York City, Sabyasachi exuded elegance and sophistication while wearing a gorgeous ensemble that he designed himself. Bollywood star Alia Bhatt made a second appearance at the Met in a stunning mint-green Sabyasachi saree with a 23-foot-long train.
The Brides of Sabya
Known for his expansive and unique style, especially when it comes to his bridal wear, Sabyasachi has over the years dressed some of Bollywood’s biggest stars on their special days, from Anushka Sharma to Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. His client list also includes some of the industry’s most-loved icons, like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, and the late Sridevi, among others.
