With its investor-friendly policies, the Nitish Kumar government has underlined Bihar's new identity as the Land of Industry’, which is widely known for its industrious people and hardworking labour force.
-

Bihar is known all over the world as the land of Gautam Buddha, Bhagwan Mahavir and Guru Gobind Singh. It has also been the land of famous emperors and scholars like Chandragupta Maurya and Chanakya. Due to its glorious past, the state has earned the moniker of ‘the land of history’. Under the Nitish Kumar government, it has now earned a new identity as the ‘Land of Industry’, which is also widely known for its industrious people and hardworking labour force.
As is evident from history, Bihar had a robust industrial structure from the Maurya period to the mediaeval times. The metal industry of the Magadh region and the silk of Bhagalpur were famous all over the world for their quality and craftsmanship in their time. Given this rich heritage, the state government has been working to create an ecosystem that will not only attract large-scale industries but also pave the way for industry connectivity to every household. The state government has created many new incentives for setting up large-scale industries. These steps will help create a new environment for industry that will encourage large companies to come and invest in the state.

Of Stories and Storyteller
The plan was to have tamatar chaat at the famous Kashi Chaat Bhandar, situated en route Dashashwamedh ghaat. There was a catch, though. From the chowk where we were standing, all we could see was a sea of people. It was time for the Ganga aarti, on the left were people queued up to enter the Kashi Vishwanath temple through the brand-new corridor, on the right were people taking Ganesh idols for immersion and joining the festivities were those who were winding up Eid celebrations.
