Q. What are your thoughts on winning the Padma Vibhushan, and how important is it vis-a-vis the music you are creating?

I am delighted the Indian classical violin is being recognised for this prestigious honour. I'm told this is the first time the Padma Vibhushan is being given to an Indian violinist, so it's a double whammy. Music is everything to me. I connect with it spiritually and I want to help the audience also to find such a connection.
