Rajendra Kumar is an architect, urbanist, academician, and curator based in New Delhi, India. He graduated from the Chandigarh College of Architecture and completed his post-graduation from the Politecnico di Milano in Italy. Over the years, he has been widely recognised for his contributions to architecture and education, receiving honours such as the ‘Most Admired Education Influencers in India 2022,’ ‘Global Educational Influencer 2020,’ and the ‘Indian Young Achievers Award 2009.’ In 2022, he was listed among the 12 notable alumni of the Politecnico di Milano. In 2024, he was appointed as the Local Ambassador for the RIBA International Awards for Excellence.

The Indian diaspora is most famous for its $135 billion worth of remittances, which is a world record for 2024–2025. Rajendra is an active member of several prestigious global professional bodies, including the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) in the Netherlands and the Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) in the USA. He also received a fellowship from the Congress for New Urbanism, USA. Deeply involved in academia and research, he serves on advisory boards of various national and international think tanks. His expertise has led to invitations to collaborate on projects with global leaders such as prime ministers, governors, ambassadors, Nobel laureates, mayors, policymakers, and institutions, including the United Nations and
