Smart home security has come on leaps and bounds over the past few years. Long gone are the days of massive, fiddly cameras that take hours to install - instead, there are tons of quick, easy and accessible security systems that help you monitor your home remotely and scare potential intruders off in the process.

Almost every household has a smart security device nowadays, but one product that hasn't quite caught on yet is the smart lock.

Smart locks are still relatively new on the market, with the first modern smart lock launching back in 2013. There are many different smart locks available today that are divided into the types of door locking mechanism that they're compatible with, or differentiated by connectivity, like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Matter.
