Natural-language tools powered by artificial intelligence are trained using books, scientific research and data from the internet. They can then generate answers to questions, write articles and mimic human conversation. Some, including OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Med-PaLM, have even passed the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam.
