Cain't get enough of everyone's favourite pear-shaped fruit?

Growing your own avocado tree from seed is a rewarding and surprisingly simple process – a great science experiment for kids to help out with too.

REMOVE AND CLEAN THE PIT

Grab an avocado and cut it open, taking care not to pierce the seed (or your hands). Remove it completely and wash it well, making sure to scrape off all the fruit's flesh, as anything left behind will turn to mould! Be careful not to remove any of the brown skin covering the seed.
