His journey into the limelight began in 2000 during the Save Mhadei agitation, where his passionate advocacy for the protection of God's natural and cultural treasures thrust him into the forefront of the public eye. Since then, he has been a tireless advocate, fighting against any encroachments on the state's historic landmarks and cultural sites.

Prajal Sakhardande reminisces about his illustrious journey at Dhempe College Miramar, where he has dedicated three decades to shaping young minds as an Associate Professor and Head of the History Department.

Beyond the classroom, he has been a steadfast advocate for heritage preservation since the early 2000s, championing causes like Saving Mhadai and safeguarding Goa's rich history and heritage. Reflecting on his deep-rooted passion for history, Sakhardande traces its origins back to his childhood days.

"History has always held a special place in my heart," he shares. "Introduced to me as early as the 3rd standard, its allure was undeniable, fueled by the captivating narratives of historical tales portrayed in the graphic novels of Amar Chitra Katha."

Indeed, amidst the academic rigors, Sakhardande found solace and fascination in the intricate tapestry of the past.

"While growing up," he muses, "everyone had that one subject they adored and another they struggled with.
