Market analyses place India's wellness tourism sector in the tens of billions of dollars, driven by Ayurveda, yoga, other traditional therapies and government promotion under the "Heal in India" banner. Goa, with its blend of tropical landscape, cosmopolitan energy and long stay culture, is perfectly positioned within this national shift, and is increasingly being projected as a premier wellness destination by its own tourism authorities.

Official tourism portals now describe Goa as "dotted with numerous yoga retreats, studios, and wellness resorts," emphasising how the state's calm environment and natural beauty create an ideal setting for practice. These centres offer everything from gentle introductory classes to intensive multi-week programs, catering to beginners, advanced practitioners, and teacher trainees alike.
