THE FACT THAT the Omega Speedmaster was the first watch to make it to the moon is as indelibly etched in the annals of history as the moon landing itself. The brand's flagship chronograph, once a staple at racetracks, took to the inky vastness of outer space, reaching a pedestal that few, if any, watches have been able to ascend to. Until the Speedmaster makes it to Mars, Omega is going to mine the moon landing, ad infinitum, to create a whole bevy of tribute watches that have come to serve as entrées to our annual horological buffet.
